Dr. Victoria Smithers, Medical Director

Board certified in family medicine for over 14 years, Dr. Smithers provides care to the entire family.

Dr. Smithers devotes part of her practice to diagnosing and treating disorders of the skin.

In addition, Dr. Smithers volunteers at an indigent clinic. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, skydiving, camping, swimming and cooking. Dr. Smithers joined Juvanew Medspa in February 2009.

Terry McBay, Registered Nurse, Medical Aesthetician, Certified Laser Professional

Terry founded Juvanew Medspa with her daughter, Amanda Byrd, in January 2009. She has advanced training ininjectables and loves all aspects of "facial sculpting."

Terry also enjoys rejuvenating hands and nasal sculpting with dermal fillers. As a 50+ female,Terry not only understands but also personally relates to the concerns of clients with aging skin. In her free time, Terry enjoys reading, riding her scooter and traveling.

Amanda Byrd, Manager and Certified Laser Professional

As the manager of Juvanew Medspa since 2009, Amanda takes pleasure in helping clients reach their skincare goals through education about proper home care as well as performing results-oriented facial treatments. As a professional laser technician with advanced training, Amanda delivers laser hair & vein removal, and laser skin resurfacing. Amanda relates to clients of all ages and has a special gift for working with teens and their skincare challenges.

Amanda graduated Cum Laude from Fur man University with a Bachelors degree in Biology and is presently pursuing her Bachelors of Science in Nursing at Texas Woman's University. In addition, she has coauthored published medical studies that include melanoma research. On her free time, Amanda enjoys exercising, reading, traveling and spending time with her rescue dog Chloe.

Lauren Marks, Skincare Specialist and Certified Laser Technician

Lauren joined the Juvanew Medspa team in 2010 and serves as a skincare specialist and laser technician. She is energized by "seeing clients' confidence grow as we address the issues that concern them, whether it is acne, hyperpigmentation, unwanted excess hair, sagging skin, or simply a dull, tired complexion."

Regular attendance at aesthetic seminars and educational conferences keeps Lauren knowledgeable of the latest technologies in order to offer the best treatments to clients.

Gail Higginbotham, Clinical Coordinator

Gail joined the Juvanew Medspa team in 2011. She enjoys sharing her knowledge of skincare & makeup, as well as performing skin-rejuvenating facials. Gail's favorite treatment is the SkinCeuticals MicroPeel, and her favorite product is Neocutis Lumière Riche eye cream.

Gail delights in her family, friends and three granddaughters.
